Signs & Chalkboards
I started painting and designing signs chalkboards while working at a sushi restaurant in downtown Tulsa, where I was tasked with displaying our specials in an eye-catching manner. My clientele grew to other restaurants, bars, local small businesses and eventually Trader Joe’s, where I was employed as a sign artist.
I generally use Posca paint markers for these, as I am able to create opaque, lasting designs vs. using chalk (although chalk definitely has its place too).
